I came home from a weekend trip to Wildwood to find that my Water Hyacinth that I placed in my pond was blooming. It has been in my pond for less than 2 weeks. I guess that means that my water pH is ok.

Our pond is 90% done now. We have the waterfall flowing and the lights installed. We also dropped in some water hyacinths and corkscrew rush. I've ordered some oxygenating plants that should be in sometime this week. I'll be posting pictures with the pond soon on jasongaylord.com.

I finally cranked up the mower for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn't wack any grass though. Instead, it was the lovely weeds that have grown in because its been so dry. I hope now that the weeds are gone the grass can get water when I turn on the sprinklers. We'll see. I'll be posting some pictures to jasongaylord.com.
